Thank you for considering registering your child for our program. My name is Radical Rick and I have had the honor of providing hands-on science programs to the kids in our community since June of 2000.

At Extreme Science, our goal is to instill a confidence in children using fun and exciting hands- on science demonstrations and experiments. I want kids to not only get excited about science but also get excited and feel confident with themselves and their abilities.I love hearing from past students. Some are now in college or have graduated and are living out their dream life. My favorite part is when they share memories about an exciting demonstration that I did at their school assembly or an experiment that they remember doing in one of my classes. I thank the Lord every day that THIS is what I get to do. I also thank the parents for allowing me to be, even a small part, of shaping your child into the adult that they will become.

Our classes are held at the school either before school (late start days) or immediately after school. When you register your child, you are registering for ALL FOUR CLASSES. The total cost is $75.00 per student. I have kept my prices as low as I could but with the recent cost of living increases, I had no choice but to raise the price this year. I hope you understand as ALL of my costs have gone up tremendously. The best way to look at it is that it is (typically) less than it costs to fill up your gas tank and will hopefully take your child a LOT further (in life) than that tank of gas. Payment is due on the first day of class but if you need to make other arrangements, just contact me.

Registrations are taken on a first come, first served basis. All of our classes tend to fill up and we typically have a waiting list at almost every school we offer our program at.

When you register online, you will see a confirmation page pop up stating that your registration was completed. You WILL NOT receive a conformation email or text right away. Approximately one or two weeks AFTER the deadline, I will send out your confirmation text message with all of the class details.

I will also send a list to the school which is sorted by Teacher so that all of the Teachers know which students are to stay after for the program and on which day.

Did you know that you can offer our 4 week before (on late start days) or after school program at NO COST to your school or PTA/PTO? 

Plus we will kick it all off with a FREE assembly!

How it works:

*  We will provide full color registration forms to be sent home with every student on the day of your free assembly. 

*  Parents can choose to register their children for the program.  The typical cost is $75 for the 4 week program.

* Depending on the size of the school, we will typically offer classes two days per week.  One day for the younger students and another day for the older students

*  Parents will register online through our website.  we will provide you with a copy of our roster which includes health concerns, emergency numbers and release information for every student prior to the first class. We will also provide a list that can be forwarded to each Teacher so that will know which of their students are in each class.

*  We text EVERY parent to confirm registration information and answer any questions that they may have.  Of course, we cannot guarantee that every parent will read their messages though.

*  Students will meet immediately after school (or before if it is a late start program) once a week for four weeks and take part in a different class each week. See below for a sample list of available classes.  Classes typically last between one hour and fifteen minutes to one and a half hours, depending on what time school gets out.

* No child left behind!  Please be assured that the Extreme Science instructor WILL NOT leave until every child has been picked up by their parent. 

Requirements:

*  We will need a room equipped with desks and chairs for our program. Libraries and multipurpose room are perfect.  If a Teacher allows us to use their room for our program, we will give them a free in-class field trip as an appreciation for the use of their room.

* Although a sink in the room is not required, a room with a sinks is preferable.

* We will email a copy of the completed roster along with a list of every student registered, sorted by Teacher.  We ask that this be forwarded to the Teachers prior to the first day of class so that they Teachers will know who is registered and where they need to go on the first day of class.

Radical Rick coordinates a 4 week after-school program that involves over 60 students in grades 1-5. He organizes everything from start to finish.
